An extension to an old wooden American-style house, designed to feel modern without competing with it. Low, single-story volumes with thin overhanging roofs, warm vertical wood cladding and floor-to-ceiling glass sit among tall trees. A concrete terrace with low step lights connects the new rooms to the garden, shown here at sunset.
